David and Molly Pyott Foundation Scholarships in Ophthalmology, UK
The University of Edinburgh is accepting applications from international students for David and Molly Pyott Foundation Scholarships in Ophthalmology. The award is open for the academic session 2024/2025.
The scholarships will be awarded to students who are accepted for admission on to the online distance learning Master of Surgery (ChM) in Clinical Ophthalmology at the University of Edinburgh, one of the Edinburgh Surgery Online suite of Masters programmes. Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so. Applicants should be senior trainees/residents/registrars in ophthalmology. Applications from early career ophthalmologists may also be considered.

- Admissible Criteria: Applicants must:
- Have secured admission to the online ChM in Clinical Ophthalmology at the University of Edinburgh
- Be senior trainees/residents/registrars in ophthalmology or early career ophthalmologists
- Demonstrate commitment to work in their country’s ophthalmology service and contribute to its development.
- The scholarship deadline is 1st June 2024.
- Complete an online EUCLID application for the ChM in Clinical Ophthalmology.
- If eligible, await a conditional or unconditional offer, then apply for the scholarship via the Edinburgh Surgery Online (ESO) scholarships online application form.
- Provide necessary documentation including personal statement, CV, and letter of support from Ophthalmology Educational/Training Programme Supervisor or Director.
- Await acknowledgment of the scholarship application from the ESO team.
- Successful applicants will be notified of the outcome by the end of July 2024.
